VeryDarkMan’s brother arrested over alleged thre@t to k!ll DeeOne

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested a member of the Ratel movement identified as VeryBlackMan of Port Harcourt, who is also described as the brother of social media activist VeryDarkMan, over an alleged threat to the life of reality star and comedian DeeOne.

VeryBlackMan was reportedly arrested on Saturday after allegedly failing to honour an invitation from the police over the alleged threat.

Following his arrest in Rivers State, he was reportedly transported to Lagos on Sunday for further investigation.

Reacting to the development, DeeOne took to Instagram to acknowledge the arrest and commend the police for their intervention.

He wrote, “Arrested and swift to Lagos! Next time you won’t threaten someone’s life. Kudos to the Nigerian Police for doing their job.”

The arrest reportedly follows an incident in June 2026 when VeryBlackMan allegedly threatened to kill DeeOne after the comedian criticised VeryDarkMan.

The alleged threat sparked reactions from members of the public and some entertainers, including Mario Wazobia and Broda Mike, who called for VeryBlackMan’s arrest.

The circumstances surrounding the alleged threat and the outcome of the police investigation remain unclear.
